Golf Tournament

Representing a consolidation of the best traditions of the game combined with the latest in golf course design, Jacaranda Golf Club embodies the best of both worlds for today's golfer. Sporting a $10 Million renovation that breathed new life into a classic design, both the East and West courses have received a transformation with new greens, tees, bunkers, cart paths, and irrigation. The restoration, while not quite complete on the West Course, showcases a combination of new and old allowing both the scratch golfer and the weekend warrior to compete on the same playing ground. Impeccable conditions paired with private club service allows players an opportunity to "Experience the Difference" Jacaranda's new look brings to a South Florida visit. A round of golf, lunch, beverages, awards and prizes, transportation to and from the course, and the highly coveted M&M logo golf shirt are included. Please watch this WWW site for additional details in the Spring of 2007.

There's no shortage of food choices to satisfy your palate with over 3500 restaurants in Fort Lauder-dale. Certainly seafood is the star attraction with such standouts as Fish and 15th St. Fisheries, Season's 52, Rino's Tuscan Grill, and the ever popular Mark's Las Olas on Las Olas Blvd. Three places garnered top food honors by Zagat's including the Sunfish Grill (Pompano beach), La Brochette Bistro (Hollywood) and Cafe Max (Pompano). Pre- and Post-conference Bahamas Cruise

The Microscopy and Microanalysis 2007 Local Arrangements Committee (LAC) has set-up discounted cruise/hotel excursions to Grand Bahama Island pre- and post-convention with Discovery Cruise Line de-parting from Port Everglades just outside the convention center. Special discounted cruise and hotel packages are available for the periods August 1st to 4th and August 10th to 14th, 2007. The cruise ship offers complimentary buffet meals, live entertainment, a casino and much more. The LAC selected a quiet, family-oriented, hotel with few distractions and a sophisticated 4-star hotel with a neighboring casino and an island shopping venue--still with lots of activities for the kids. There is way too much information to include here. Look for the URL for our dedicated cruise webpage on the meeting website. Also, your brave LAC checked out the cruise and hotel venues personally and can answer questions and share pictures: randerson20@tampabay.rr.com. Passports, and appropriate U.S. re-entry visas for non-citizens, are a must. To sign up visit this URL http://www.discoverycruise.com/microscopy
